1946 Spartan Manor Renovation

001.jpg

Welcome to our 1946 Spartan Manor restoration photo album!! We are so happy that you've stopped by to check on our progress. I'm Michelle and my husband Bob and I are in the process of restoring our first 1946 Spartan Manor Camper. (We have two of them!) We will be posting pictures and descriptions as we progress through the project. Bob has posted pictures in order, from the first day I found Spartan #1 in North Carolina, to the most recent work. Feel free to contact us at Spartan@Farbauti.Com

New Body Rail 157 viewsThere were two spots along the body that were rotted out due to electrophoresis. We purchased a piece of square aluminum stock from Airparts Inc. to cut in half to make a new body rail.

Window Repair151 viewsBob removed both of the back teardrop windows because they were leaking. He made a special tool to remove them from the body, separated the pieces, removed the old weatherstripping, and cleaned the 63 year old glass. We purchased the new weatherstripping from Vintage Trailers Supply. It wrapped around the window perfectly. It easily snapped back together and was ready to be placed back into the body.
